Vertical Integration in Health Care Just Makes Sense
Madison Campbell, founder and CEO of Leda Health, joined Matt Gaetz on OAN to debate vertical integration in health care. Campbell argues that having coordination between pharmacies, urgent cares, clinics, and more can help patients like her who lacked cohesive care. “I’m a chronic disease patient and I almost died because I didn’t have coordination of care,” said Campbell, pushing back against Gaetz’s assertion that vertical integration only helps companies while patients are left to suffer at the hands of corporate greed. She highlights her own story in the health care system as an example of how vertically integrated companies can benefit patients and ensure they not only receive the highest quality of care but that they don’t have to make excessive appointments and phone calls across systems to make it happen.
